The Knoxville News Sentinel is reporting that Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin has officially dismissed Nu'Keese Richardson and Mike Edwards from the football team for good.

"After extensive and thorough research of the situation After extensive and thorough research... I've decided it's in the best interest of our program to remove Nu'Keese and Mike.  Lane Kiffin, UT head coach over the last four days and considering various disciplinary options, I've decided it's in the best interest of our program to remove Nu'Keese and Mike," Kiffin told Knoxville News Sentinel.

"As I've said many times before, we hold our student-athletes to an extremely high standard on and off the field. Our student-athletes must be responsible members of society, and this type of conduct will not be tolerated."

No decision has been made on fellow freshman Janzen Jackson, but he is not allowed to participate with the team until more information is gathered.

Richardson, Edwards and Jackson were allegedly involved in an attempted armed robbery early Nov. 12 at the Pilot convenience store on Cumberland Avenue. They fled in a 2010 Toyota Prius with a female driver.
