Last week's unanimous selection of the Vols to beat South Carolina proved to be true. It's certainly no surprise that Tennessee was picked unanimously again this week to beat 2-6 Memphis at home, but what may come as a surprise is an Alabama upset pick when they host LSU on Saturday.

Other than the Tide's game against the Bayou Bengals, the rest of the SEC is seemingly taking the week off. Poor non-conference games litter this week's SEC schedule; Kentucky plays host to Eastern Kentucky, Georgia welcomes Tennessee Tech, Auburn is home to Furman, Northern Arizona makes the trip to The Grove to play Ole Miss and Vanderbilt travels to Gainesville to face Brandon Spikes (at least for the second half) and the eye-gouging Gators. The only other respectable match-up will kick off when South Carolina visits Arkansas.

Chris White (43-7) continues to dominate the Senior Circuit with a two-game lead over Assistant Sports Editor Amber Harding (41-9). The Rookie Division is topped by Wade Rackley (40-10), the first Rookie to crack the 40-win mark.

The Game of the Week - get ready to pick your jaw up off the floor - features Alabama and LSU. Les Miles and LSU are still searching for an identity as they attempt to end Alabama's Western Division domination over the last two years.

Game of the Week - Expert Analysis

Jeffrey Riddle: "Alabama is well coached with a tough defense, excellent running game and a mountain of a nose tackle. The Tide rolls over the Tigers."

Andrew Aaron: "LSU has not been impressive. The Tigers haven't dominated their opponents like Alabama has."

Chris White: "LSU looked good against a suspect Auburn defense, and Alabama is coming off a bye. Alabama is winning in the kind of way that typifies a national championship team (read: close wins). 20-14 Alabama."

Kevin Huebschman: "I'm gonna keep calling these until I get one right. But seriously, Alabama is playing just well enough to win, no matter their opponent. McElroy's come off his early-season high. The only player on the team who is playing well week in and week out is Mark Ingram, and one running back can't carry a team."

Brent Russell: "Alabama has a very strong defense, and LSU does not have enough offense to gain anything against Alabama. Alabama wins decisively."
