Tom Siegfried, editor-in-chief of Science News and award winning science writer, will give the Alfred and Julia Hill lecture this Tuesday.
Siegfried wrote for the Dallas Morning News for 19 years and continued his most popular column, the Why Files, on the web until he was named editor-in-chief. Siegfried has been recognized by the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the National Association of Science Writers, and many other prominent organizations.
Siegfried's talk is titled, "Odds Are, It's Wrong -- The Misuse of Math in Science, Medicine and the Media" and will begin at 8 p.m. in the U.C. Shiloh room.
Free refreshments will be provided before and after the talk. The Hill lecture is free and open to the public.
