UT students have the opportunity to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee by participating in Bowl for Kids' Sake 2009. Bowlers have the opportunity to form a team of up to four people and choose a one-hour time slot to bowl from April 16-April 25.
"This is a great activity for your campus club, residence hall, or class to help our community in a fun way," said Kaitlin Green, public relation's chair of the event.
Participants must choose the day, hour, and location to bowl and form a team name. Team members are expected to collect donations using the online fundraising system or with a pledge sheet. The organization with the most participants will win a free party at the Down Under. Other prizes will be given according to money each team member raises.
"This will be a fun activity to help our community and are hoping for a great turn out this year to help benefit the children," Green said.
According to the official website Big Brothers Big Sisters is designed to help children reach their potential through supported, one-to-one relationships.
