A View into History: The Day Before Barack Obama's Inauguration (2009) from Ben Moser on Vimeo. (Length 6:58)

It's been a week since America saw a changing of the executive guard as Barack Obama was sworn into the Presidency.

Some Tennessee Journalist staff was in Washington, D.C., for the event and spoke with many people on the eve of the inauguration. We captured the thoughts and hopes of onlookers in order to share them with you.

We ran into a variety of people on the National Mall, from students in The Ohio State University's marching band, to a Tennessee alumnus and his family, to an Army Sergeant who claimed to be the uncle of Eric Berry's girlfriend.

Many people had different views on the President, but most seemed very excited about the entire event.

What do you expect from the Obama administration and how do you think it will affect UT students? Share your thoughts in the comment field below.
