"Meet Re(VOL)ution" (2009). (Length 3:06)
Re(VOL)ution is the local Dance Dance Revolution club at UT. Dance Dance Revolution, shortened to DDR, is a video game that can be played in an arcade or many home consoles.
Re(VOL)ution uses a PS2 to play. DDR is played with a dance pad with arrows pointing up, down, left and right. The player taps these arrows to the beat of the music played onscreen.
Re(VOL)ution was formed about three years ago with the help of Matthew Beach. The club meets every Friday night from 6 to 9 pm in the North Carrick lobby by the pool tables. The amount of members varies every week; however the members that are present all like to have fun with each other and they love DDR.
The members' passion for DDR reveals that they meet up for more than just the game; they socialize here too. As with any other club, Re(VOL)ution is a place where people with similar interests meet up to participate in what they love, and these guys and gals truly love this game.
Re(VOL)ution also accepts members of all skill levels and will encourage anyone to play as they did with me. Most members that showed up that night were skilled in the game, and played various challenging game types and they made it look easy.
So if you're looking for something to do on Friday nights or if you want to test your skills against some of the best DDR players on campus, this club is the place for you. Contact Re(VOL)ution at tbeach@utk.edu.
