He cried. Superman cried.

The Florida quarterback came close to sobbing as his team lost to Alabama in the SEC Championship, 32-13.

Now I'll admit it: I hate Tim Tebow. Well, I think I hate how the media grovel over him more than I actually hate the guy himself, but it's just easier to hate him. Still, I don't hate him so much that I won't let him have his cry, but this was the wrong time and place.

I know you came back for your senior year to win another national title (and to hopefully up your draft status), but even though that dream is now shot, you still have another game left, and I'm not cool with the waterworks.

It's completely understandable to shed some tears if all you've known for the last four years comes to an end, but you've still got business to take care of. You'll get a Sugar Bowl matchup against an undefeated TCU, or a fierce Cincinnati Bearcats side, and both will really want to stick it to the BCS for not getting a shot at the National title (unless Texas falters and one of the two actually gets a shot).

Tebow, if you let this get to you and lose in the BCS, you will be the only college player to ever be immortalized and remortalized before you even graduate. Your legacy will probably be unscathed within Gator Nation, but the rest of us will mockingly recite "The Promise" at any mention of your name.

However, if you win your last game, all will be forgiven (at least among non-haters). You'll have two big rings for you to drool over while you wait until the fourth or fifth round of the NFL Draft to get selected.
