The Tennessee Journalist Sports Staff weighs in with their own 2009 NFL Mock Draft:

17. New York Jets - Percy Harvin, WR (Florida) - The Jets really need a QB, but I refuse to believe Josh Freeman is a first round pick. And they need a WR since Coles is gone

18. Denver Broncos - Everette Brown (FSU): Cutler needed a defense. Now after the trade, Denver has picks to dispose on building a defense. Only no Jay Cutler.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Peria Jerry, DT (Ole Miss): The Bucs need an interior defensive lineman and an outside linebacker. Jerry is the best value left at these positions.

20. Detroit Lions - Ray Maualuga, LB (USC): The Lions have holes all over the place, they will choose to go with what they think is the best value on defense and someone who can help Julian Peterson

*21. Philadelphia Eagles - Michael Oher, OT (Ole Miss): Philly only has three tackles on the roster right now, and it's becoming more important every year to protect the aging Donovan McNabb. Oher is the best value left on the board.

22. Minnesota Vikings - Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR (Maryland): Someone has to take the pressure off of Adrian Peterson. The ability to stretch the field with Heyward-Bey may be just the solution.

23. New England Patriots - Clay Matthews, OLB (USC): Bill Belichik likes player that are versatile and Matthews is the most versatile defender in the draft and will fit in nicely with the Patriots scheme.

24. Atlanta Falcons - Larry English, DE (Northern Illinois): The Falcons need a guy to line up opposite John Abraham. They also need other defensive players, but English is the best left on the board

25. Miami Dolphins - Vontae Davis, CB (Illinois) Davis is a steal at 25th overall. You can't place a value on defensive back's in the NFL and, oh yeah, Bill Parcells is a draft genius.

26. Baltimore Ravens - James Laurinaitis, ILB (Ohio State): With Bart Scott gone to New York and Ray Lewis aging, the Ravens need an inside linebacker that can grow into the leader of their dominant defense.

27. Indianapolis Colts - Hakeem Nicks, WR (UNC): With Marvin Harrison gone, the Colts take a wide receiver who can step in as the number two wide out right away, the more weapons at Peyton's disposal the better.

*28. Philadelphia Eagles - Chris Wells, RB (Ohio State): After not converting the short-yardage plays and Brian Westbrook being fragile, it would be a HUGE mistake for the Philadelphia Eagles to pass up on Wells if he dropped this far.

29. New York Giants - Kenny Britt, WR (Rutgers): The Giants need to try and replace Plaxico Burress but this will be nearly impossible. Realistically the Giants need everyone to live up to expectation, including using a first-round pick of Rutger's Kenny Britt.

30. Tennessee Titans - Brandon Pettigrew, TE (Oklahoma State): Contrary to popular belief, the Titans don't have to take a wide receiver or defensive tackle here. They're in position to take the best player available, which, at this point, is by far Pettigrew. Bo Scaife still hasn't signed his franchise tender and could be gone after this year.

31. Arizona Cardinals - Shonn Greene, RB (Iowa): He's not the highest rated RB, but that's more due to the fact he was only in the spotlight for a year than because of his talent

32. Pittsburgh Steelers - Max Unger, C (Oregon) People like Andre Smith will end up in Oakland or Cincinnati. People like Max Unger end up in Pittsburgh. That's why they have six rings in the 'Burgh.

*Editor's Note: The 2009 TNJN NFL Mock Draft was done prior to the Philadelphia Eagles trade for LT Jason Peters.
