Here at the Tennessee Journalist, we don't believe in preseason polls. Unlike the two major polls, we think you can't get a gauge on how good a team actually is until they have played a few games.
Now that the first four weeks have passed us, the staff decided it was time to bring our poll back this season.
Our top-ranked team, USC Trojans, is the No. 1 team in both the AP and ESPN polls. However, our second ranked team is the LSU Tigers. In both major polls, Oklahoma is No. 2.
Voting this week is Chris Mitchell, Cliff Chartrand, Grant Ramey, Ben Dishong, Rayshawn Lanier and Andrew Gibbs.
First place votes are in parentheses. Now that we have our own rankings, we will use them on our site for the rest of the season.
