In a battle of undefeated teams early in the flag football season, Hung Like a Jury defeated Any Given Tuesday 26-19 to move to 3-0 Tuesday.

Kevin Hartley set the tone early for 'Jury, intercepting 'Tuesday quarterback Eric Hutchinson and returning it 15 yards for the early touchdown.

Hutchinson responded by driving down the field and hitting Zack Peddicord for a one-yard score, tying the game up at 6-6.

Any Given Tuesday then gave some payback to Hartley, as Garen McCroskey picked off the Hung Like a Jury quarterback and returned it into the end zone to give his team a 13-6 lead.

From that point on Hartley took control of the game.

"We got better at our short passing game," Hartley said. "We just played mistake free other than our first pick."

Hartley threw two touchdowns to Ryan Desmond and Chris Collins, while adding a 17-yard touchdown run.

"He's definitely our star player," Hung Like a Jury captain Josh Lee said. "We didn't have him last year. He's been a big addition this year. He's the best athlete on the field."

'Tuesday added a touchdown late on a 10-yard pass from Hutchinson to Forrest Gray, but time ran out before it could get the ball back.

Any Given Tuesday (2-1) will face Ghana (0-3) next Tuesday, while Hung Like a Jury will put it's 3-0 record on the line against the 2-1 Mud Dogs.

"It's good to jump out early and get some wins," Lee said. "You've got some room to play these next couple games.  We get to work on some stuff and hopefully get ready for the playoffs."
