UT's Career Services held the 2008 Fall Job Fair Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Thompson Boling Arena. About 276 employers and more than 2,000 students attended the event.

Booths were set up on the third level and arena floor as students from all majors talked to potential employers. Recruiters shared information about employment opportunities and took resumes from students.

Students had a wide variety of companies to choose from, including an entire floor of nonprofit organizations and government agencies. All of the corporate companies were located on the arena floor.

“It is really like two separate job fairs,” Russ Coughenour, director of Career Services, said.

By 2:30 p.m. 2,112 students had signed in for the job fair. About 1,700 students attended last year.
