Baseball: Junior pitcher Aaron Everett shut down the Georgia Bulldogs for a 4-3 extra-inning win Sunday in Athens. The win improved the Vols to 14-7 (4-2 SEC) and the team avoided being swept after dropping the first two games of the series. Senior Andy Simunic scored the winning run of a Georgia error in the top of the 10th. Everett retired six batters in the final two innings to pick up the win, striking out three.

Golf: The Tennessee men's golf team finished with a 6-over-par 294 to finish fourth in the Scheknel E-Z-Go Invitational Sunday, March 16, in Statesboro, Ga., at the Forest Heights Country Club. Senior Philip Pettitt and Freshmen Robin Wingardh tied for 13th individually with scores of 216 to lead the ninth-ranked Vols.

Tennis: The 10th-ranked Tennessee men's tennis team defeated the LSU Tigers 6-1 on Sunday at the UT Outdoor Varsity Courts. Tennessee showed its dominance in singles, winning all six matches. Freshman Jeremy Tweedt moved to 9-1 in dual-match play, with a 5-1 record in SEC play.

Track & Field: The defending SEC champion Tennessee men's track and field team started its outdoor season Saturday at the Baldy Castillo Invitational in Tempe, Ariz. Seniors Yarrick Kincaid, Andrew Dawson and Rubin set regional-qualifying time during the meet. The track and field team will be in action again next weekend in Atlanta, Ga. for the Yellow Jacket Invitational at Georgia Tech.

Lady Vols' Golf: The Lady Vols Golf team finished 11th in the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the University of Georgia Golf Course. Sophomore Angela Oh finished with the highest individual score of 232 and was followed by Junior Nicole Smith with a 233. The Lady Vols will next compete at the Bryan National Collegiate, Mar. 28-30. It will be the team's last tournament before postseason play begins.

Lady Vols' Tennis: The 20th-ranked Tennessee women's tennis team rebounded from a loss to No. 22 Arkansas with a 6-1 win at LSU Sunday. The Lady Vols won five of six singles matches, and two of three in doubles. Junior Samantha Orlin had the match-clinching victory with a defeat of Nicole Kantor, 6-3, 7-5.
