Candace Parker, Shannon Bobbitt and Alexis Hornbuckle combined for 64 points as the Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team rolled to a 92-61 victory over Florida Friday at Nashville's Sommet Center.
The Lady Vols have advanced past the SEC quarterfinals every year since 1993.
Florida, on the other hand, has failed to get past the quarters since 1997 and has not beaten a ranked opponent in its last 15 opportunities.
Sha Brooks led the Gators with 20 points, and Depree Bowden chipped in with 15.
Parker scored 20 of her 26 points in the opening half as the Lady Vols took a 15-point lead into the locker room. The junior also tied for a team-high eight rebounds and added four blocks.
Angie Bjorklund contributed seven of the team's 21 assists, and Tennessee shot over 55 percent in its best performance from the field against an SEC opponent.
The win puts the No. 3 Lady Vols into tomorrow's Southeastern Conference tournament semifinals. Tennessee will face either Vanderbilt or Auburn tomorrow at 9 p.m. for a chance to appear in Sunday's conference title game.
