Kappa Kappa Gamma will be hosting its annual semester jean sale on Feb. 4. This is the fundraiser's second year and 90 percent of proceeds are donated to the March of Dimes foundation. Last year the sorority raised $1200.

"We chose the March of Dimes because it serves as our local philanthropy while at the same time is a national organization," April Besing, Kappa's philanthropy chairman said.

The event allows anyone to donate designer jeans for others to purchase. In the past they have sold Sevens for All Mankind, True Religion, Citizens and Rock and Republic, but other brands are welcome. The jeans are sold at a discounted rate and all styles are welcome. The event is open to the public and people are encouraged to bring friends.

The event begins at 4 p.m. downstairs in the Panhellenic Building located on Panhellenic Drive. The March of Dimes, founded in 1938, strives to prevent birth defects, infant mortality and premature birth according to their national spokeswoman.
