February first is set to kick off another “First Friday” in the Market Square section of downtown, with art exhibits, food vendors and live music. On the first Friday of each month, Market Square businesses keep their doors open late, providing various sales, with complimentary food and music.
Art exhibits such as the Art Market Gallery’s spotlight of an Elaine Culbert painting and a Zophia Kneiss metal sculpture open at 6 p.m. The Basement Gallery will also be holding complimentary receptions from 6-10 p.m. for their spotlighted exhibit, “Present Tense,” hosted by T. Various live music will be featured throughout the evening, including the Knoxville Opera, hosted by the Arts and Culture Alliance, along with live bands at performing Preservation Pub and Oodles Uncorked.
