The Global Hour will hold its weekly meeting on Thursday, March 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the International House to discuss the current situation with Iran.
All University of Tennessee students are invited to express their opinions while listening to their fellow students’ views about the situation in Iran. Staff, faculty and the people within the Knoxville community are also invited to attend.
Iran has been attracting recent press which will also be discussed at Thursday's meeting. Two stories will be reviewed: one from the British Broadcasting Company and one from the New York Times.
Having just celebrated their fifth year, Global Hour continues to facilitate communication between students about current global and human conditions.
“The weekly meetings held by Global Hour provide a place for students to get together with people at their university to discuss current current issues and events. It’s also a really comfortable environment to speak about your opinions,” Meghann Canon, a former UT student, said. “It’s also really easy to get to from anywhere on campus,” she added.
The International House, located at 1623 Melrose Avenue, can be easily accessed from campus. For a map of its location, visit Global Hour’s website. A list of questions to think about before the meeting on Thursday along with other information is also available on the website.
