BBC’s website is http://news.bbc.co.uk/, and the unique news feeds do not necessarily have an abundance of America’s typical media influence.

The lay out on the home page consists of small pictures that are not overly dominating the page. There are around 25 to 30 story titles and 4 summaries mostly about international politics. I really like the way they have the navigation list of countries to the left hand side of the page. It makes country’s news easily accessible, and it offers different languages.

The capacity of BBC’s website offers a strong diverse array of international information, but does not use much video. Although it offers further links to BBC’s radio and television stations
Flexibility is minuet, because the site sticks mostly to international news, sports, radio, TV, and weather.
There is a very high level of importance on immediacy, and optional services are available to readers for how much and what information they would like to stay up to date on. Permanence is intact through archived records.

The titles are in sentence form. The writing is direct and active with block quotes. The photo captions give a little information about the image with out being too direct. Stories are some what short, but still strait forward.

This site does not do much linking with outside sources, but it does offer book marking.

Reader services: BBC offers the options of emailing to a friend, book marking for Deliciouc, Digg, reddit, Facebook, and StumbleUpon. They also give the reader an option of a news letter systems through email, pop ups, mobiles, or podcasts for full programmes download. Some reader comments are accepted on certain pages. They do offer a page informing readers the most popular stories and the most emailed stories.

The only improvement I could present is to get a little more video production with in the story pages.
