JaJuan Smith tied a career high with 32 points to lead the No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers to a resounding 93-71 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks Wednesday night at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Over half of Smith's points came from 3-point range as the senior connected on all six of his shots from beyond the arc, setting a school record. The previous best of 5-5 was shared by four different Vols, including Chris Lofton.

The Vols (22-2, 9-1 Southeastern Conference) led by only six points after a competitive first half. However, UT went on an 11-1 run to take a 54-38 lead just over two minutes into the second half.

Arkansas (17-6, 6-3 SEC) closed to within 11 points on two Patrick Beverly free throws with 12:24 left on the clock. The Vols then scored 14 straight points, including eight from Smith, to put the contest out of reach.

Sonny Weems led the Razorbacks with 20 points on the night. Darian Townes was the Razorbacks' only other double figure scorer with 12 points,

Duke Crews earned his first double-double of the season 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Vols. Tyler Smith and Wayne Chism finished with 15 points apiece.

Arkansas seemed intent on preventing Lofton from having a big game, holding the Vols' leading scorer to just six points. Lofton failed to make a 3-pointer for the first time since the season's opening game against Temple.

However, the increased focus on Lofton allowed JaJuan Smith to have his highest point total since a Nov. 20 win over Middle Tennessee State.

The Vols have won six straight games since falling to the Kentucky Wildcats at Rupp Arena last month. UT will look to continue the winning streak Saturday at Georgia.
