Valentine's Day is quickly approaching - leaving many men to panic. The unusual lifestyle of a college male can often leave them with too little time, money or creativity to plan an extravagant surprise for their significant other.

Fortunately for all those last minute planners, there are some wonderful Valentine's Day gift ideas that will save you time, money and energy!

  • Short on Time?  Many people wait until the last minute to do their shopping and planning for all occasions. On Valentine's Day, it is customary for couples to have dinner at a nice restaurant; so, reservations are necessary if you want to get a table anywhere in town.  If your busy schedule has prevented you from making reservations, don't fret!
    • Rachael Ray's 30-Minute Meals are the perfect solution! With over 100 delicious recipes that take a half hour to prepare and cook, this is ideal for any person constantly on-the-go.  Your partner will also appreciate that you took the time and effort to cook them a meal.
    • Have you tried calling your favorite restaurant to make a reservation for February 14 to realize they are already booked? No, problem! Just celebrate February 13 or February 15.  Celebrating a Valentine's Day dinner before or after the actual day will provide just as delicious of a meal and the restaurant will be less crowded.
  • Short on Cash?  You're not the only one! College students are notorious for being broke; however, just because you have a limited budget doesn't mean you can't treat that special someone to something wonderful for Valentine's Day.
    • Jewelry Television sells thousands of valuable pieces of jewelry for shockingly affordable prices.  Giving jewelry is a great way to show your partner how special they are to you.
    • Knoxville has many romantic venues that are overlooked by college couples.  The Tennessee Theater presents an old movie every Valentine's Day for couples to come and enjoy.
    • Restaurants.com offers coupons to many delicious eateries around Knoxville.  You can buy a $50 gift card to a restaurant for $20.
  • Short on Creativity? We all could use a little help getting our creative juices flowing.
    • Show your partner how much you care by making them a craft.  Crafts are fun and easy to make and will show your partner that you put time and energy into your gift.  JoAnn's Crafts has more than enough supplies to make your love a picture frame, picture collage or scrapbook.
    • Gifts.com has thousands of gift ideas for Valentine's Day. The interactive Web site will help you narrow their extensive gift items down based on information you give them about your partner.

So, get out there and start planning your perfect Valentine's Day!
