If you have ever wanted to learn about France while looking out of your window at the Eiffel Tower, or read English history while touring Big Ben, now may be your chance.

The Student Government Association has just passed a resolution that will give more than $250,000 per year in scholarships to students wishing to study abroad.

The scholarships will be funded by a tax to all students, according to an e-mail sent out by Sam Swan, professor and director of Internationalization and Outreach.

"I am pleased to announce that all students at UT will soon be able to receive a scholarship for study abroad programs," Swan said.

Students also have the option of using their financial aid, such as the HOPE scholarship, to fund their study abroad programs.

More information on study abroad programs can be found at the Programs Abroad Web site.
