Vol fans saw a different color than usual during Mondays marquee matchup with Rutgers.

Fans wore pink clothing, including t-shirts given to fans at the game, to help raise awareness for breast cancer. The promotion was a part of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's 2008 Think Pink campaign.

The usual barrage of orange regulated for Tennessee sporting events was overwhelmingly taken over by pink. The Rutger's basketball team also wore pink uniforms to help the drive.

"My aunt survived breast cancer so it is really touching to see fans across the country react so well to this cause. Breast cancer is a tremendous problem, and events like this and 'The Race for the Cure' can only help in the struggle to overcome this disease," said Chase Bailey, a senior in economics at UT.

The aim of Think Pink is to not only raise awareness, but to help remind women of the importance of check ups.

The Lady Vols were able to cap the emotional night with an exciting and controversial 59-58 victory.
