UGG boots are one of my pet peeves. They are ugly and we should not support their business.
However, UGG jeans may be an even bigger fashion don't. The 1980s style of tucking your jeans into your boots is cool. I love it.
On the other hand, when it comes to UGGs, I say leave them at the door. When they are worn over jeans, it seems like people are trying to flaunt them.
Besides the obvious remarks that UGGs make your feet look wide and flat, they aren't special in any way. The drab tan color and shapeless sides don’t add anything to someone’s personal style. Unless, that is, you have no style.
One thing UGG boots has going for them is comfort. Everyone wants to be comfortable; it's just natural. However, I will have you all know there are other boots that are both comfortable and cool. Some are even water resistant, which is great for the spring!
I was surprised to find one style of UGG boots that is cute and fashionable. The Liberty style made by UGG is still lined with warmth, but is new and stylish. This is a great alternative.
Whatever fashion trend you decide to follow, don't let it be UGGs. If you've already invested in a pair, I suggest using them as a great pair of house shoes. I find it a tiny bit sad when I see a girl who obviously wants to look her best, but has soiled it with her choice of boots.

I think that any fashion can be worn well or improperly; it's not just "boots with the fur." Some fashions have a harder time than others, but the UGG business is thriving, despite the cost of a pair of their boots. There are many stylish brands of boots that are cheaper than the UGG brand, and if a girl enjoys wearing them, I say let them. People like to express themselves, and with the popularity of the boots, it is obviously a good-looking and comfortable option for footwear.

I've got some shearling scuffs that I wear around the house (so I don't ruin them) and they are SO warm and comfy. (Also, I got them at Sam's for $9, so you really can't beat that.) So I see the appeal with UGGs, and would probably get a pair if they weren't ridiculously expensive, but I could never go out with my pants tucked into them. Or wearing a mini-skirt (really kids, if it's that cold out, WHY are you wearing a mini-skirt?)

We at the UGG blog www.IGotUGGs.com take offense to your article. You could have at least said, "In my opinion...." Obviously due to the popularity of UGG boots not that many people share your sentiments that you are offering as facts.

Was this written by a 2-year old? So stilted and boring.
