With prices ranging between a little over $200,000 to around $500,000 the Candy Factory Lofts might be pricey, but are offer those students with the cash a new place to come home to.

Realtor for Realty Executives Associates, Raymond Gaudet gave tours at the loft's open house on Sunday, February 3. Gaudet believes that the lofts have unique qualities including the proximity to both downtown and UT campus, free parking at Knoxville Museum of Art and the secure location.

Although the lofts are pricey they are in a prime location, right off of World's Fair Park. The also offer a nice alternative to close off-campus living. Fort Sanders has a bad reputation for being unsafe and many of the houses are run-down. The lofts are not only new, they have a front door security system to keep students safe.

Gaudet also stressed the special historic aspects of the building, "the fact that a piece of Knoxville history was saved from demolition and converted into beautiful condominiums, and how the builder was able to retain the historic feel to the units," are other reasons why Gaudet thinks the condos are different from other Knoxville residences.

Each condo is different but all have a loft feel to them with exposed beams and pipes. All of the units come with a dishwasher and refrigerator.
