Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney was victorious for the fourth time in the early primaries, beating out rivals John McCain, Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee to take Maine.

Romney garnered 52 percent of the vote with 68 percent of precincts reporting, the remainder of the caucuses are being held Sunday. John McCain was second with 21 percent, Ron Paul brought in 19 percent, and Mike Huckabee 6 percent. Two percent of voters were undecided.

While a number of towns have not yet reported their choice of candidate, the Associated Press predicts that Romney will wind up with all 18 of the national convention delegates when voted upon at Maine's state convention.

Romney has also won Nevada, Wyoming, and Michigan, leaving him in a favorable position heading into Super Tuesday, when more than 20 states and American Samoa will take to the voting booths.

"The people of Maine joined those from across the nation in casting their vote for conservative change in Washington...Like many Americans, the people of Maine are tired of Washington promises made but broken," said Romney in a statement Saturday.

Paul and Romney were the only of the candidates to actively campaign in Maine; Romney sent his oldest son Tagg  to campaign Friday and he also appeared at a number of caucuses Saturday.

Acording to the Associated Press, voter turnout was the best since 1980 when Ronald Reagan was the GOP candidate.

The Maine Democrats hold their presidential preference votes at municipal caucuses on Feb. 10.

Glad to see Ron Paul doing so well considering the mainstream media is doing its best to silence him.

I'm surprise that the media hasn't even mention this win, then again I'm not, is been very clear to me than the TV media owes some favors to Mc Cain, that arrogant men, he is a back stabber, he doesn't play clean, I'm just sorry for the nation if Mc Cain wins or any democrat, they will take the economy to a free fall.
Mc Cain is not a true Republican, he talks about broken Washington, well he is Washington, he is part of the problem, Mc Cain is working with the other side for amnesty. Do we really need more cheap labors? look at the unemployment rates, who is he pandering?.
Last debate he keep saying he was part of the Reagan revolution, he calls himself a foot soldier, and then he went on saying that Governors don't do good presidents, Reagan was a california Governor, he contradicts himself.
Besides he dosent know anything about economy, just because he was in the military he said he'll be the best comander and chief, aparently not he got couht, rigth?
It was so funny to watch Guliany, Mc Cain and Swarchenegger walking together, they all left them wifes for younger ones, that's why they like each other, they are cheaters.
Romney is man of principles, He knows how the economy works, that's exacly what we need to save the Nation, He will bring the jobs back, and get raid of all the bad politics in Washington, may be the reason many of them don't like him? VOTE FOR MITT ROMNEY.
