The Lady Volunteer’s play at home this Sunday February 3rd at 3 p.m. and the students are getting all pumped up to watch the game.
The nations number 2-ranked team is getting prepared once again to beat Kentucky. The major excitement of the season comes from only losing two games throughout the whole.
Candace Parker, Lady Volunteer’s Basketball superstar, is a junior for Tennessee and is always creating excitement on the court, according to Patrick English, a senior at the University of Tennessee.
“ I think this is one of the most exciting seasons throughout my four years here.”
English said this team is amazing. “I am proud to be a Tennessee Volunteer!”
English said practices are always opened to the public, which is always exciting because you can really see how hard they really do work and how much effort they put into a sport they grew up loving.
These eleven women show amazing teamwork and hopefully will once again become National Champions in 2008.
English said this would truly complete not only mine, but every other graduating seniors last year at the University of Tennessee.
“Lets do what we did last year and win the SEC National Championship!”
