Blue Cats is moving after entertaining the Old City for over eight years.
According to a press release, the popular concert site will be moving to the new Warehouse District. Blue Cats will be moving into the site next to the Valarium.
"What we are creating will completely revolutionize entertainment in Knoxville," Gary Mitchell, Blue Cats co-owner said. "We will have better, more impressive venues, the ability to attract more national acts and a facility where people of all ages can enjoy great music in a pleasant environment."
Co-owner Lee Fling said in a press release, "The Old City is important to us and everything we do, we do for the betterment of the entertainment community."
UT student Reid Doster, a frequent Blue Cats visitor said, "I think it's exciting because there is an opportunity for Blue Cats to bring better bands and put on a better show."
Events scheduled for Blue Cats will be held at the Valarium during renovation.
