Paolini's Inheritance peaks interest

With summer quickly finding its way into our lungs with every breath, we anticipate the coming break with an unrivaled passion.

Harry Potter is all grown up and we have come to the end of a Series of Unfortunate Events. What could possibly be out there to quench our thirst for easy summer reading?

Now is the perfect opportunity to prepare for the September release of Brisingr by Christopher Paolini.

Some of you may have seen the movie Eragon and been rather disappointed, I most certainly was.  Do not let this turn you away from a fantastic story.  The Inheritance series is a testament to the genre of adventure and fantasy novels.  It pulls you into the secret life of dwarves, elves and dragons, while taking you back to the days of Dungeons & Dragons (without the bag of holding).

I was completely submerged into Paolini's world and couldn't put [the book] down.

The series began with Eragon, a young farm boy who suddenly found himself caring for a supposedly extinct dragon.  With a rather smooth and refreshing writing style, the character grows and develops and you find that you grow with him.  I was completely submerged into Paolini's world and couldn't put it down.

Eldest, the next book in the series, is no exception to greatness. Truths are revealed and alliances are formed, leaving you on the edge of your seat, while great armies clash for dominion over the continent of Alagaesia.

The third release, Brisingr, is a long-awaited addition to this great story.  Fans had almost lost hope in it ever finding its way to the shelves.  Now with a set release date (Sep. 20), I urge young and old alike to don their armor... er, reading glasses, and delve into a world I guarantee you won't regret.

Inheritance is complete, utter and worthless trash. It's Star Wars with less colour, character, or fun. And by "less" I mean it has none of it. Think of it this way: if Darth Vader wasn't terrifying, was a clown, had the cheesiest dialogue, and whispered the exact things he wasn't supposed to in a loud voice ("Increase the dosage"), he would be a character in Inheritance. I don't even like Star Wars that much; I won't even tap into Lord of the Rings.

To paraphrase: It's trash. I wouldn't give this to my worst enemy.

I also thouth the movie was horible. I also lost some faith in paolini when in an interveiw he said he "really thought they were doing a good job with acuratly prtraying the movie. I do love the books though.

Uhhm wow Jacob, you stated what you dislike, now say what you like so we can trash it. I'm sure its some techno-fantasy about the future and aliens or when humans evolve something great like that huh?
