If this is your desk, take some time to clean it up to have a more stress-free time before finals.

It is so close you can almost taste it; the end of the year. Classes are coming to a close and finals are just around the corner. Between you and me, I can't wait to be free. Counting down the days does not seem to be enough, and honestly everyone needs to prepare for the final push to the end.

Besides making the calendar-sized countdown till summer, everyone needs a way to get rid of their end of the year jitters. One method that really works for me is packing up everything I won't be using or needing. This clears away some of the clutter and allows me to focus on assignments and tests.

Another thing I do is get all my no-nonsense assignments out of the way. If you can get it done early, do it. You don't want to have to worry about whether or not you have a paper finished right before the final. This also allows you to do more extra credit if you need it.

Stress factor: Move-out Day

Make sure you have someone to pick you up on the day you are leaving. If you live in Knoxville, I would suggest moving stuff out early rather than waiting till the very end. Worrying about moving should be the last thing on your mind.

The end of the year is always exciting, but everyone needs to understand their priorities. Work first and play later and you will have a successful end to the year. Otherwise, you might be explaining to your parents why you failed one of your classes.

I am not trying to be negative when we're so close to the end. Everyone should prepare so when it comes to the final hours you'll have all i's dotted and t's crossed.

The countdown has begun and the final weeks have arrived. Now all you have to do is keep your head in the game and survive.
