Questions about Knox County's 2008-2009 budget must be resolved in the near future.

First Senator Clinton's campaign manager, Pattie Solis Doyle stepped down, then Geraldine Ferraro resigned from her position in Clinton's fundraising committee, after that the media found out Clinton had lied about being under fire during her trip to Bosnia; and now, there is more trouble in the Clinton camp. Clinton's top strategist quit Monday.

Mark Penn, Clinton's chief strategist, stepped down this past week, according to CNN.com. He had been criticized because his public relations firm has contacts with the Colombian government concerning a free-trade deal.

After the events of the last few days, Mark Penn has asked to give up his role as chief strategist of the Clinton campaign. Maggie Williams, campaign manager for Senator Clinton"After the events of the last few days, Mark Penn has asked to give up his role as chief strategist of the Clinton campaign," said Clinton's campaign manager Maggie Williams.

It seems like it is one problem after another for Senator Clinton this campaign season. It seems like it is one problem after another for Senator Clinton this campaign season. She started off strong, and some considered her the Democratic presidential nominee after Senator Obama's situation with Rev. Jeremiah Wright, but it appears that the tables have now turned.

With three important figures in the Clinton campaign stepping down within the last three months, and her recently revealed lie about Bosnia, Clinton's campaign might be virtually over, at least that is my opinion. I think confidence in Clinton will definitely fall after this latest resignation. Some may wonder how Clinton is going to recover from this most recent blow to her campaign.

I know I do.

More information about Mark Penn's resignation can be found at CNN.com, while information concerning Pattie Solis Doyle and Geraldine Ferraro can be found in The Political Corner installments of Feb. 6-13 and March 8-14, respectively. More information about her trouble in Bosnia can be found in the March 22-28 installment of The Political Corner.

It may be the first time in the history of the 2008 presidential campaign; all three candidates agree about something. All three candidates would not go to the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Olympic games if they were president.

Both Senators Obama and Clinton said President George W. Bush should boycott the opening ceremonies of the games, while McCain only went as far to say he would not go if he were president according to MSNBC.com.

Clinton expressed her views on the Olympics by saying, "at this time, and in light of recent events, I believe President Bush should not plan on attending the opening ceremonies in Beijing, absent major changes by the Chinese government."

Obama agrees with her.

"If the Chinese do not take steps to help stop the genocide in Darfur and to respect the dignity, security and human rights of the Tibetan people, then the president should boycott the opening ceremonies," Obama said.

However, Senator McCain would not say that President Bush should boycott the Olympic games, perhaps because he was recently endorsed by the president.

"I would say right now it depends on Chinese behavior," McCain said on The View. "Unless there is some progress with the Dalai Lama, including conversations with him, including stopping this brutal crackdown that we're seeing in Tibet, then I would make the decision not to go."

I am probably going against most of the population by saying that I think we should not boycott the opening ceremonies to the games. I disagree with what China is doing, but I do not think that boycotting a tradition which brings countries together is the best answer. Part of the tradition of the Olympics is the opening ceremonies. And I think that it is important to honor our athletes during those ceremonies.

More information on the views of each candidate concerning the games can be found at MSNBC.com.

There is much debate among Knox County Commissioners about whether Knoxville citiznes might have to pay more taxes to help fund the 2008-2009 budget, according to Knoxnews.com.

Finance Chairman Paul Pinkston believes the budget is project at running a $6 million deficit.

"My biggest concern is we are going to have one heckuva big property tax increase," he said.

Finance Director John Troyer disagrees. He says that the county is "on track to meet budgeted revenue and expenditures for the year."

MY FELLOW BITTER, STUPID, WORKING CLASS PEOPLE.

YOU MIGHT BE AN IDIOT, TOO :-(

If you think like Barack Obama, that WORKING CLASS PEOPLE are just a bunch of BITTER!, STUPID, PEASANTS, Cash COWS!, and CANNON FODDER. :-(

You Might Be An Idiot, Too!

If you think Barack Obama with little or no experience would be better than Hillary Clinton with 35 years experience.

You Might Be An Idiot, Too!

If you think that Obama with no experience can fix an economy on the verge of collapse better than Hillary Clinton. Whose husband (Bill Clinton) led the greatest economic expansion, and prosperity in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot, Too!

If you think that Obama with no experience fighting for universal health care can get it for you better than Hillary Clinton. Who anticipated this current health care crisis back in 1993, and fought a pitched battle against overwhelming odds to get universal health care for all the American people.

You Might Be An Idiot, Too!

If you think that Obama with no experience can manage, and get us out of two wars better than Hillary Clinton. Whose husband (Bill Clinton) went to war only when he was convinced that he absolutely had to. Then completed the mission in record time against a nuclear power. AND DID NOT LOSE THE LIFE OF A SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER. NOT ONE!

You Might Be An Idiot, Too!

If you think that Obama with no experience saving the environment is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose husband (Bill Clinton) left office with the greatest amount of environmental cleanup, and protections in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot, Too!

If you think that Obama with little or no education experience is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose husband (Bill Clinton) made higher education affordable for every American. And created higher job demand and starting salary’s than they had ever been before or since.

You Might Be An Idiot, Too!

If you think that Obama with no experience will be better than Hillary Clinton who spent 8 years at the right hand of President Bill Clinton. Who is already on record as one of the greatest Presidents in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot, Too!

If you think that you can change the way Washington works with pretty speeches from Obama, rather than with the experience, and political expertise of two master politicians ON YOUR SIDE like Hillary and Bill Clinton..

You Might Be An Idiot, Too!

If you think all those Republicans voting for Obama in the Democratic primaries, and caucuses are doing so because they think he is a stronger Democratic candidate than Hillary Clinton. :-)

Best regards

Jacksmith is misinformed (I'll be kinder and gentler than you.) Republicans are voting for Clinton in the primaries to keep her alive. Not that we care so much who runs but so the two dems. will do exactly what you are doing now. The survivor of sniper fire and the candidate who thinks that millions of Americans go to church because we are bitter are dismembering each other daily. (Before you get mad at us remember it was those FL democrats that gave us McCain over Romney and politics is a game two can play.) Obama was doing well because no one really knew anything about him. Thanks to Clinton we are learning a lot about him and as he is exposed the general public will not accept him.

In case Obama is the candidate just remember that experience is important and McCain will run circles around Obama. McCain works with both parties and sticks to what he believes in. Also, remember he is a patriot and would never have embraced Farakan. In the end I think a lot of reasonable people will see Obama as arrogant and out of touch. There are too many question marks at the end of his name. I believe a lot of people will cross over to McCain. The Republican base will come out and support him, not really because they are believers but because this is the choice that has been thrust upon them and maybe some disenfranchised dems will join us. See you at the polls.
