Local meteorologists at Knoxnews.com and WBIR.com are reporting that a strong weather system will be entering Knoxville just as sunny skies were starting to dry out the area.
After accumulating nearly an inch of rainfall over the weekend, meteorologists say that a new system should enter the area Tuesday evening, culminating with severe thunderstorms Friday evening.
Upon returning from spring break last week UT students were hit with this rash of storms, making many like junior Mark Turner wish that they had stayed away a bit longer. "Out west it was 70 and sunny every day, but when I came back to Knoxville it was soggy and depressing. Now it looks like it's gonna stay that way," says Turner.
The current system is expected to move out of the area early next week, hopefully providing students some comfort in their last month of the semester.
