On Wednesday, Oct. 3, Donald Asher will hold a presentation aimed at future graduate school students from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the University Center auditorium.

The event, called Gaining Admission into Highly Competitive Graduate Programs, will help students develop strategies for applying to graduate and professional school. Asher will speak on topics such as contacting professors, letters of recommendation, admission essays and more.

"(Asher) is the keynote speaker for the Career Development Series of national teleconferences, sponsored by the University of Tennessee," according to his website.

He presents at over 100 colleges annually and is the author of nine books on career development issues.
