Dave Matthews Band will perform at the world’s loudest tailgate party for the university who wins the AT&T sponsored contest.

University of Tennessee is one of 120 schools competing for a free Dave Matthews Band concert scheduled for November of this year. In order to help UT win the concert, students must send an invite by either texting DMB to 959 or visiting www.attblueroom.com and submitting video invites, photo invites, audio invites or essay invites. All invites must by submitted by midnight on October 15, 2007.

In addition to possibly winning a free concert, invites submitted will also give the students a chance to win free prizes including HD TVs, cell phones and other prizes.

Currently UT is ranked 39th, and some UT students are taking great strides to insure the hopeful triumph of UT over the other competing universities. Not only do these ambitious students contribute to the success of UT, but they are also vying for the chance to win the “Most Successful Influencer Award” with the prize of a tailgate pack including two VIP tickets for the concert, wherever it may be.

The AT&T sponsored contest gives UT students the chance to be rewarded for creativity with the submission of video, photo, audio and essay invites. The students have the possibility to win two VIP tickets to the concert. The selection of winners is based on creativity, humor and entertainment value.

With the promising possibility of a free concert looming in the air, UT students are becoming rather optimistic about Tennessee’s success.

Carleigh Evans, a self-described DMB fan says, “All we need is a little effort from the student body to pull out a win and bring Dave here for everyone to enjoy. It`s definitely worth the effort of sending a text for a great free concert.”
