Saturday
Major League Baseball: Yankees vs. Red Sox Fox 3:30
Besides the hatred in the rivalry, the Yankees are also looking to sew up a playoff spot while the Red Sox sit comfortably in the postseason. With a sweep the Yankees can move to within 2.5 games of Boston for the Eastern Division title.
NCAA Football: Tennessee vs. Florida, 3:30 p.m. on CBS
The Vols try to steal a victory away from the Gators in the Swamp to start conference play.
NCAA Football: Notre Dame vs. Michigan, 3:30 p.m. on NBC
Both teams are 0-2 at the same time for the first time in the history of college football. The future of the two programs will be on display as Ryan Mallett will replace the injured Chad Henne at quarterback for the Wolverines while phenom Jimmy Clausen gets his second start of the year for the Irish.
NCAA Football: Ohio State vs. Washington, 3:30 p.m. on ESPN
Washington is off to a great start behind freshman quarterback Jake Locker, but the Ohio State defense will provide a tougher test than any the Huskies have seen yet.
NCAA Football: Arkansas vs. Alabama, 6:45 p.m. on ESPN
The Crimson Tide defense will look to contain Arkansas' rushing attack of Darren McFadden and Felix Jones in Nick Saban's first SEC home game. Marcus Monk is doubtful to play for the Razorbacks.
NCAA Football: Louisville vs. Kentucky, 7:30 p.m. on ESPN Classic
After giving up 42 points to MTSU in their last victory, the Cardinals will try to slow down Kentucky's offense led by quarterback Andre Woodson in the Battle of the Bluegrass.
NCAA Football: Boston College vs. Georgia Tech, 8 p.m. on ESPN2
Matt Ryan leads the Golden Eagles into Atlanta to meet up with a staunch Yellow Jacket defense in what could be an ACC title game preview.
NCAA Football: USC vs. Nebraska, 8 p.m. on ABC
This will be the first time for a top-ranked team to visit Lincoln in 29 years. Former Arizona State quarterback Sam Keller will lead Nebraska in its bid for an upset.
Sunday
PGA Tour Golf: Tour Championship Final Round, 11:30 a.m. on the Golf Channel, continues at 1:30 p.m. on NBC
Tiger Woods looks to lock up the first FedEx Cup over Phil Mickelson and Steve Stricker.
NFL Football: Colts vs. Titans, 1 p. m. on CBS
After embarrassing the Saints in the season's opening game the Colts visit LP Field in Nashville to face Vince Young and a rushing attack that racked up 282 yards on Jacksonville last week.
NASCAR Nextel Cup: Sylvania 300, 2 p.m. on ABC
The opening race in the Chase for the Nextel Cup gets underway with Jimmie Johnson the leader at the onset of the 10-week playoff.
NFL Football: Jets vs. Ravens, 4 p.m on CBS
Chad Pennington is likely out with an ankle injury which is means it could be the beginning of the Kellen Clemens era in New York. Steve McNair is also nicked up for the Ravens.
NFL Football: Cowboys vs. Dolphins, 4 p.m. on Fox
Dallas takes a high-powered offense led by Tony Romo to Miami to go up against Jason Taylor and the Dolphins.
NFL Football: San Diego vs. New England, 8:15 on NBC
San Diego will be looking for revenge after losing to the Patriots in the playoffs last season. The Pats will look to prove they don't need to cheat after getting caught spying on the Jets last week.
