Roaring cheers could be heard all over downtown Knoxville Sunday night as one of Tennessee's finest, the Kings of Leon brought all of the Tennessee Theatre to it's feet with the first strum of the guitar by Matthew Followill the lead guitarist.
Local band, The Features provided the opening act for the show, followed by the San Francisco based band Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, who's garage rock performance set the tone for the night's five hour long celebration of rock ‘n' roll.
Kings of Leon band members: Caleb, Jared, Matthew and Nathan took the stage shortly after midnight immediately breaking into the chords of "Fans" off of the band's latest album "Because of the Times."
Audience members danced the night away to songs such as "Taper Jean girl" and "Milk" off of their 2005 release "Aha Shake Heartbreak." Other songs performed were "On Call," "My Party" and many other hits from "Because of the Times" which was released earlier this year.
Nashville based Kings of Leon rocked the Tennessee Theatre sending concert patrons home satisfied with the lyrics of their favorite songs of the evening fresh on their minds.
