Tennessee men's basketball forward Wayne Chism was taken to UT Medical Center Tuesday evening during practice after hitting his head.
As first reported by the Knoxville News Sentinel, point guard Jordan Howell inadvertently struck Chism in the head during practice causing Chism to fall, and lose consciousness for several minutes.
As Chism continued to drift in and out of consciousness, an amublance was called which transported him to the hospital with a neck brace.
After preliminary MRI and CT tests were negative, Chism was diagnosed with a concussion.
Chism was released Wednesday, but did not practice and remains doubtful for the Vol's exhibition against California (Pa.).
