The college football action gets underway early and often on Saturday, and when you throw in a full week of NFL games and a pair of games in the World Series, you have every excuse to be a couch potato this weekend.

Here are the games to make sure and see on another huge sports' weekend.

Saturday

NCAA Football: West Virginia at Rutgers, Noon on ABC

Rutgers is out for revenge after the Mountaineers ended the Scarlet Knights Big East title bid last season. This year they'll have a chance to return the favor. West Virginia has won 12 straight games against Rutgers.

NCAA Football: Mississippi St. at Kentucky, 12:30 p.m. on CBS

After dropping last week's game at home against Florida, Kentucky hopes to use a victory against Mississippi St. to stay alive in a wide open SEC East race. The Bulldogs have already won at Auburn this year and will look for a second road upset in conference play.

NCAA Football: USC at Oregon, 3 p.m. on FSN

Mark Sanchez gets the start once again for the Trojans as they try to upset Dennis Dixon and No. 5 Oregon at Autzen Stadium. The winner of this game remains in control of its own destiny in the Pac 10.

NCAA Football: Florida at Georgia, 3:30 p.m. on CBS

Although it is a "home game" for Georgia, this game is being held in Jacksonville, Fla. as always. The Gators will look to build upon the momentum of last week's win in Lexington. The winner of this game will maintain a piece of first place in the SEC East.

NCAA Football: Clemson at Maryland, 3:30 p.m. on ABC

Cullen Harper leads the Tigers into College Park to take on the Terrapins. Clemson hung 70 points on Central Michigan last week, while Maryland dropped a heartbreaker against Virginia.

NCAA Football: UCLA at Washington State, 6:30 p.m. on FSN

After upsetting California last Saturday, the Bruins look to keep it going against the Cougars of Washington St. Senior quarterback Alex Brink leads the Cougars as they try to get their first conference victory of the season.

NCAA Football: Kansas at Texas A&M, 7 p.m. on ESPN2

The Jayhawks beat Colorado 19-14 last week, and are off to their best start in 12 years. They have not started 9-0 since 1909 and will look to win at Kyle Field for the first time in five tries.

NCAA Football: South Carolina at Tennessee, 7:45 p.m. on ESPN

The Vols look to turn things around against South Carolina after last week's debilitating loss in Tuscaloosa. Coach Steve Spurrier brings one of the nation's top-ranked pass defenses to town to face off against Erik Ainge and the Volunteer offense. Philip Fulmer is 4-8 in his career against Spurrier.

MLB World Series Game 3: Red Sox at Rockies, 8 p.m. on FOX

The Rockies will try to quickly turn things around after dropping the first two games in Boston. Daisuke Matsuzaka and Josh Fogg will be the two starting pitchers, but look for the two offenses to explode in the thin air at Coors Field.

NCAA Football: Ohio St. at Penn State, 8:05 p.m. on ABC

The Buckeyes take a defense that has only allowed four touchdowns all season to Happy Valley to take on the Nittany Lions. The Lions have a three-game home winning streak in which they have averaged 33.6 points per game.

NCAA Football: California at Arizona State, 10 p.m. on FSN

Cal has dropped its last two games and looks to get back to their winning ways against a surprising Arizona St. team. The Sun Devils lead the Pac-10 as they have yet to drop a game this season.

Sunday

NFL Football: Raiders at Titans, 1 p.m. on CBS

Vince Young returns to the Titans' lineup this week after missing last week's contest with Houston. Rob Bironas connected on an NFL record eight field goals in the win over the Texans last week.

NFL Football: Giants vs. Dolphins, 1 p.m. on FOX

The Dolphins and Giants travel to London to square off in this game, and reports indicate Miami linebacker Channing Crowder has no idea where in the world he is. The Giants have won five straight since starting the season 0-2, while the Dolphins are still in search of their first win of the season.

NASCAR: Pep Boys Auto 500, 2 p.m. on ABC

Jeff Gordon will try to keep his Nextel Cup Series lead at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Jimmie Johnson trails him by 53 points, and is the only serious threat to the Rainbow Warrior.

NFL Football: Redskins at Patriots, 4:15 p.m. on FOX

The Redskins aim to be the first team to knock off the high-powered Patriots. New England will need to avoid looking ahead to next week's match-up with the Colts.

MLB World Series Game 4: Red Sox @ Rockies, 8 p.m. on FOX

Should the Red Sox win Saturday night they'll be looking to sweep the World Series for the second time in four years in Game four. The Rockies hope to have an opportunity to even the series when Aaron Cook returns from injury to make the start.
