Business professionals gathered at the UC on Friday, Oct. 26 as part of a Career Services event entitled "Business Career Information Day." BCID gave business students information on the various career opportunities in their fields of study.

"We believe that this event can help provide our students with a better understanding of what to expect in the real world. This particular event helps students from all class standings," Jeannine Wirth, College of Business consultant, said.

Wirth said students heard from these industry professionals in the following group sessions:

Wirth said students can use the information from the groups to help them understand what major might be good for them. She also said it helps in deciding what career path to take and establishing networking contacts.

"I think that the event was a success overall. Of course, with any event there is always room to improve, but we did get very positive feedback from the presenters and hopefully will receive some student feedback soon," she said.
