The No. 13 Lady Vols' soccer team won a hard fought game with the Ole Miss Lady Rebels by a score of 2-0 Friday night at Regal Soccer Stadium.

The first goal of the game came in the 35th minute when midfielder Mick Imgram crossed the ball to Julie Edwards, who volleyed the ball towards goal.

The ball then ricocheted off the crossbar and bounced into the goal, marking the first goal of the freshman standout's career.

"I recruited her because of her ability to playmake and set the pace of the game. I'm really excited for her," said Tennessee head coach Angela Kelly. "She's going to have a great impact on this program."

Kylee Rossi scored the second goal for the Lady Vols in the 50th minute off an assist from Devon Swaim.

Rossi rocketed a shot to the left upper corner from twelve yards out, freezing Ole Miss goalkeeper Ann Shelton.

"My teammates have put the ball right where I need it," said Rossi. "That's made me a lot more comfortable in this stretch of SEC play."

The goal was Rossi's sixth of the season.

Goalkeeper Jaimel Johnson kept the Lady Rebels from scoring and finished the game with three saves, highlighted by a diving stop in the 87th minute.

Johnson has allowed just one goal in her past 300 minutes of action. The lone score against the senior during the stretch came on a penalty kick last weekend against Vanderbilt.

The Lady Volunteers (10-2-2, 5-1-1 SEC) next matchup will be Sunday at 2:00 pm against the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Regal Stadium.
