Saturday

Penn State is coming off of a huge win against Wisconsin while Indiana will look to regroup after being embarrassed last week by Michigan State. Both teams enter the game with an overall record of 5-2 and Big Ten record of 2-2.

NCAA Football: No. 19 Tennessee at Alabama, 12:30 p.m. on CBS

Currently tied with Kentucky and South Carolina for the fewest losses in the SEC East, a win would keep the Vols in control of their own destiny for the SEC title. Alabama enters the contest in a three-way tie for the SEC West lead and also holds complete control of its SEC Championship chances.

NCAA Football: No. 13 Florida at No. 7 Kentucky, 3:30 p.m. on CBS

The matchup between the Gators and Wildcats could prove to be one of the weekend's most exciting. With two of the SEC's elite quarterbacks in Florida's Tim Tebow and Kentucky's Andre Woodson and defenses that have been on and off, this game could easily turn into a shootout.

NCAA Football: Michigan State at No. 1 Ohio State, 3:30 p.m. on ABC

No. 1 Ohio State will face a tough opponent in the Michigan State Spartans. The Spartans enter the game with a 5-2 record and are led by one of the nation's most effective offensive attacks. Ohio State will counter with a defense that is among the nation's best in most defensive categories.

NCAA Football: No. 14 USC at Notre Dame, 3:30 p.m. on NBC

The Trojans will look to get back on track after several sub-par games in a row as they travel to South Bend to take on a struggling Notre Dame team. Evan Sharpley will start at quarterback for the Irish, the third different player to start under center for the team this year.

NCAA Football: Miami (FL) at Florida State, 3:30 p.m. on ESPN2

This marks the first time these two teams have been unranked in a game against each other since 1977. Florida State fell to Wake Forest last week after appearing to have things back on track, while the Hurricanes have dropped two straight conference games.

NCAA Football: No. 15 Kansas at Colorado, 5:30 p.m. on ESPN

The Jayhawks are coming off of a huge 52-10 victory over Baylor and are undefeated with a record of 6-0 this season. Last week Colorado unable to handle the Kansas State team that fell to Kansas in week six. Kansas won last year's matchup but have not won at Colorado in twelve years.

NCAA Football: No. 24 Michigan at Illinois, 8:00 p.m. on ABC

An important Big 10 matchup as Michigan has yet to drop a Big Ten game and Illinois has just one loss in conference play. The Illini suffered an upset loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes last week but will look to rebound at home where they already have two wins over ranked opponents.

NCAA Football: No. 23 Virginia at Maryland, 8:00 p.m. on ESPN2

In last year's matchup with Virginia, Maryland came from behind to win by a final score of 28-26. Virginia enters the game 6-1 with an offense that has struggled to move the ball but a defense that has been dominant.

NCAA Football: No. 18 Auburn at No. 5 LSU, 9:00 p.m. on ESPN

LSU looks to get back on track after falling last week to Kentucky. Auburn has won eight straight and 13 out of 14 games away from home. The winner of this game will become the favorite in the SEC West race.

Sunday

NFL Football: Tennessee at Houston, 1:00 pm on CBS

Quarterback Vince Young and the Titans will head to Houston for a matchup with the same Texans team that passed on Young in the 2006 draft. Young, though, has been sidelined from practice with a quad injury and his status for Sunday's game remains in doubt.

NASCAR:  Subway 500, 1:00 pm on ABC

Jimmie Johnson has won the Subway 500 twice in the past three seasons and captured the checkered flag at the earlier race at Martinsville Speedway this season. He enters Sunday's race trailing Jeff Gordon in the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup by 68 points. Clint Bowyer sits in third, 78 points behind Gordon.

NFL Football: Arizona at Washington, 1:00 pm on FOX

With a win, the Redskins will move to 4-2 and stay just behind the Cowboys in the NFC East. A Cardinal win could put the team in sole possession of first place in the NFC West. With injuries to Matt Leinart and Kurt Warner, Arizona may be forced to start the recently signed Tim Rattay at quarterback.

NFL Football: Kansas City at Oakland, 4:05 on CBS

The Chiefs have won the previous nine meetings between these two teams and appear to have rebounded after dropping the first two games. Daunte Culpepper has emerged the Raider's starting QB and has done a solid job, guiding the team to a pair of wins in three games.

NFL Football: Minnesota at Dallas, 4:15 on FOX

The Cowboys are coming off of a tough loss to the undefeated New England Patriots last week but enter the game with a 5-1 record and one of the league's best offensive attacks. Rookie Adrian Peterson of the Vikings is coming off of a career game with 224 yards and three touchdowns and currently leads the NFL in rushing.

MLB Playoffs: Indians at Red Sox (ALCS Game Seven, if necessary), 8:00 p.m. on FOX

If Boston can win Saturday night, game seven comes Sunday night at Fenway. The winner moves on to the World Series and will host game one against the Rockies on Wednesday.

NFL Football: Pittsburgh at Denver, 8:15 pm on NBC

This will be a major game for the Denver Broncos as they fight to stay alive in the AFC playoff chase. In Denver's last game, they were dominated by the San Diego Chargers 41-3 and will look to prove themselves against a strong Pittsburgh team. The Steelers have lost just one game this year and won 21-0 over the Seahawks a week ago.
