After a dominating performance in California this weekend, the doubles team of Caitlin Whoriskey and Zsófia Zubor are the Tennessee Journalist's Lady Vol players of the week.

The pair racked up seven wins in six days, four of which came against top-10 teams, to win the doubles title at the Riviera/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Women's All-American Tennis Championships.

On their way to the title, the pair took down the No. 2, 3, 4 and 7 ranked teams in the country.

Whoriskey and Zubor defeated the third-ranked duo from Georgia Tech in the finals 7-5, 6-3, to become the first team to win the tournament's doubles title after advancing through the qualifying round since 2004.

They also became the first team out of the SEC to win the tournament since 2001.

The 10th-ranked sophomores moved their overall record to 12-1 on the year and 20-5 since being paired up near the end of the 2006-2007 season.

The two will return to action and look to continue their success when the Lady Vols travel to Chapel Hill, N.C., for the ITA Southeast Regional on October 18-21.
