The UT Issues Committee has planned for distinguished journalist and author Bob Woodward to talk on campus on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the University Center Auditorium.

Woodward will talk about politics and leadership and sign books at a reception after his presentation. A UT press release said much of the presentation will be Woodward discussing how various U.S. presidents have handled times of crisis and how their administrations have handled classified materials and secrets.

He is the assistant managing editor for The Washington Post, which won the 1973 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service for his investigative reporting with Carl Bernstein on the Watergate scandal. He was also the lead reporter for The Washington Post's articles on the aftermath of Sept. 11, which won the National Reporting Pulitzer in 2002.

Woodward has co-authored and authored several national best-selling nonfiction books, including "All the President's Men," "The Commanders," "Bush at War" and "Plan of Attack."

The UT Issues Committee worked in conjunction with the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy, the Central Program Council and WUOT-FM to make the event possible. It is free and open to the public.
