A power outage affected most of UT Sunday night at approximately 8:30 p.m., causing an evacuation of Hodges Library along with several residence halls.

In Hodges Library, the lights completely turned off for a few seconds after 8:30 p.m. until generators were able to engage the emergency lighting for the building. At approximately 8:50 p.m. the building was evacuated.

At this time, unsubstantiated reports say that UT's grid-nine lost power.

Power was restored at 11:15 p.m. Sunday.
