The VolleyVols (7-6, 2-4 Southeastern Conference) fell to Arkansas (7-9, 1-4 SEC) Sunday in five games, 30-32, 30-27, 27-30, 30-20, 8-15.

One bright spot for Tennessee was freshman Nikki Fowler. She recorded her third double-double of the season with 22 kills, 11 digs and 49 swings. She also had five assists, four blocks and three aces.

Jean Berg notched her seventh consecutive double-double for the Lady Vols with a career high 58 assists and 13 digs. Chloe Goldman led the team with 27 digs.

The VolleyVols struggled at the start of the match as they allowed Arkansas to win the first game with a late comeback but managed to hold the Lady Razorbacks off in the second game before halftime.

Arkansas won another close one in game three before the Lady Vols flexed their muscle in the fourth game to even the contest.

The Lady Vols struggled in the fifth and final game as they failed to string together two points in a row at any point, while the Lady Razorbacks used a stretch of five straight points to get their first conference win.

The loss marked the third straight in conference play for Tennessee and the second of the week, as the team also fell Wednesday night to Kentucky in Lexington.

The Lady Wildcats won that match in four games, 28-30, 28-30, 30-22, 24-30. Fowler once again led them through a rough loss as she amassed 17 kills and 11 digs.

This week the VolleyVols have a pair of road contests, Friday at South Carolina and Sunday at Florida.
