While the football and men's basketball took the spotlight with nationally televised performances, a few UT athletic teams took to the road last week. Two teams saw their seasons come to an end.

  • Lady Vols Volleyball: The VolleyVols suffered another loss as they closed out the season. They fell to Notre Dame at home on Friday 3 - 1. Yuliya Stoyanova finished out her career at UT with 20 kills and only 2 errors. The VolleyVols season has concluded as they failed to qualify for the NCAA tournament.
  • Lady Vols Soccer: The soccer team's season came to an end as well when they went to and loss to Portland in the Sweet 16. Kylee Rossi led the team with 6 shots but was unable to get a goal as the team lost 3 - 0.
  • Lady Vols Basketball: The Lady Vols had a light week as they only had one game. The top-ranked Lady Vols travelled to Charleston and beat 16th ranked West Virginia. Candace Parker led the team with 29 points as they won 67 - 49.

Coming up this week some teams return to action after layoffs, while each basketball team and the football team will be in action as well.

  • The Men's Basketball team will play North Carolina A&T on Tuesday night and will play Louisiana - Lafayette on Friday. Both games will be at home.
  • Both the Men's and Lady's swimming and diving teams will be in action at the Texas Invitational from Thursday to Saturday.
  • The Men's Track & Field team will go to the Clemson Opener on Saturday.
  • The Lady Vols Basketball team will host Louisiana Tech tonight and will host North Carolina on Sunday.
