UT students have more than just turkey to be thankful for this Thanksgiving season; they have the chance to win tickets to the SEC Football Championship Game.

Because UT beat the Kentucky on Saturday, UT will be playing LSU next Saturday, Dec. 1 in the SEC Football Championship Game. Some students will be able to attend this game thanks to the ticket lottery.

In order to qualify for the lottery, students must be currently enrolled at UT and have paid their University Programs and Services Fee, according to the UT Web site. Students can enter the lottery by going the Division of Student Affairs Web site. The lottery will be open from 8 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25 until 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26. Winners and alternates will be posted on the Office of the Dean of Students Web site starting at 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 26.

Lottery winners can buy tickets for $35 at the Central Ticket Office, which is on the first floor of the University Center, from Tuesday, Nov. 27 to Wednesday, Nov. 28. The office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Any tickets not purchased by lottery winners during these times will be made available to alternates.

Each winner may purchase two tickets by presenting his or her own UT ID along with the ID of another student or a spouse card. Only cash will be accepted.

At the time of the purchase, students will receive a voucher for their tickets, which can be redeemed at the Georgia Dome on Dec. 1 between 9 a.m. and halftime. The tickets can be picked up at the Tennessee Will Call window, which is located between gates A and D.

For more information on the lottery and to purchase tickets, go to the Division of Student Affairs Web site.
