It's a football kind of weekend with lots of championship implications in the college ranks.

Depending on where you will be this holiday weekend, with some people going away from the Knoxville area, some other games may be televised. However, there are some big games that should be televised nationally.

Thursday

NFL: Green Bay at Detroit, 12:30 p.m. on Fox

Brett Favre and the Packers continue to win and will look to keep pace with the Cowboys.

NFL: New York Jets at Dallas, 4:15 p.m. on CBS

Tony Romo and Terrell Owens will look to continue their success on their traditional Turkey Day game as they come off a four touchdown performance against the Redskins.

NCAA Football: No. 13 USC at No. 6 Arizona State, 8:00 p.m. on ESPN

Both teams are playing for a Pac 10 championship and a trip to the Rose Bowl. Arizona State also has an outside chance at a National Championship game appearance.

NFL: Indianapolis at Atlanta, 8:15 p.m. on NFL Network

For those who get NFL network, you can watch Peyton Manning and the injured Colts try to keep the second spot in the AFC and the top spot in the AFC South.

Friday

NCAA Football: Nebraska at Colorado, 12:00 p.m. on ABC

Both teams will be fighting for their sixth win, giving them bowl eligibility and possibly the final bowl out of the Big 12.

NCAA Football: Arkansas at #2 LSU, 2:30 p.m. on CBS

LSU looks to avoid another high-ranked upset in this crazy college football season, as well as reach the SEC Championship game with one loss and shot at the National Championship game.

NCAA Football: No. 11 Texas at Texas A&M, 3:30 p.m. on ABC

Texas is looking for help, as a win and an Oklahoma loss will get them in the Big 12 Championship game.

NCAA Football: No. 17 Boise State at No. 12 Hawaii, 9:00 p.m. on ESPN2

Hawaii looks to stay undefeated in search of a BCS bowl game. Boise also has an outside shot at a BCS game if they continue to win.

Saturday

NCAA Football: No. 16 Tennessee at Kentucky, 1:30 p.m. on CBS

If Tennessee wins, they will play LSU in the SEC Championship. Simple enough?

NCAA Football: No. 7 Georgia at Georgia Tech, 3:30 p.m. on ABC

Although the game doesn't affect the SEC East battle, Georgia will face in-state rival Georgia Tech while hoping that Kentucky can upset Tennessee. That would give Georgia a berth in the SEC Championship Game.

NCAA Football: Notre Dame at Stanford, 3:30 p.m. on ESPN 2

Can Notre Dame win two in a row?

NCAA Football: Florida State at No. 14 Florida, 5:00 p.m. on CBS

With Florida out of the SEC Championship race this is the last game for Tim Tebow to lure Heisman voters.

NCAA Football: No. 20 Clemson at South Carolina, 7:00 p.m. on ESPN 2

South Carolina searches for their seventh win as six might not get the Gamecocks into a bowl game.

NCAA Football: No. 4 Missouri at No. 1 Kansas, 8:00 p.m. on ABC

The national game of the week for college football is in Kansas City as one team's National Championship hopes will end Saturday night.

Sunday

NFL: Tennessee at Cincinnati, 1:00 p.m. on CBS

Tennessee will look to rebound after two straight losses.

NFL: Minnesota at New York Giants, 1:00 p.m. on FOX

The Giants continue their push to lead the Wild Card playoff race while the Vikings look to get back into the playoff race without leading rusher Adrian Peterson.

NFL: Baltimore at San Diego, 4:15 p.m. on CBS

Neither team has had the year they expected as neither team has a winning record.
