The Baptist Collegiate Ministry hosted its semi-annual talent show at its own "coffee house" on Monday. Bob Dylan melodies, an African song entitled "The Click Song," and unique imitations of the Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys were some of the many performances at the talent show.

The coffee house is normally the place for BCM's worship services; however, chairs were exchanged for couches in order to create a coffee house atmosphere. Desserts ranging from chocolate chip cookies to cheesecake were provided alongside fresh coffee.

Michelle Bennett, in charge of overseeing the talent show, said, "It started as a way for freshmen to get to know upperclassmen, but now it is a way for everyone to get involved."

The talent show has been around for five years and happens every semester. Bennett estimates that about 70 to 90 people come in and out of the talent show.

Laura Norvelle, a senior and regular attendant of BCM, said, "It is a great way to see people's silly talents, and we can have fun too."

The date for next semester's talent show has not been decided yet, but everyone is welcome to attend.
