The all-new Guitar Hero III recently burst on to the video game scene with a vengeance. Legends of Rock, the third in its series, is the first Guitar Hero to be released with the Wii as one of its operating platforms. The Wii is the most recently released video game system from Nintendo. A successor to the Game Cube, the Nintendo Wii is run on a wireless system, providing the technology for the new wireless guitar created exclusively for Wii systems and based off of the design of famous guitarist Gibson Les Paul.
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock features over 70 of the biggest and loudest rock hits ever compiled into a game soundtrack. Some of the bands featured on the game are Kiss, the Rolling Stones, The Killers, Muse and more.
The game also includes new features not seen before on previous games in the series such as the co-career mode where two-players can go head-to-head in a competition to reveal who rocks harder and the brand new guitar battle where the player faces off with famous musicians in order to advance to another level and unlock additional tracks.

For those without a Wii, it may be informative to know that the game is actually also available for a few other consoles. Namely the Playstation 2 and 3, and the XBOX 360. All of which also feature wireless guitars.
