Despite their early exit from the SEC Tournament the Tennessee Volunteers were able to earn a No. 5 seed in the South Bracket.

 Tennessee (22-10) will open against the Long Beach State 49ers (24-7) from the Big West Conference.

The 49ers defeated California Poly 94-83 to win their conference championship. The 49ers showcase a high power offense that averages 80.3 points per game.
