This year, more than 80 school districts from across the Southeast will attend the University of Tennessee Teacher Recruitment Fair on Wednesday, March 7.

The event will take place in the University Center ballroom from 9 a.m. to noon. Optional interviews will take place after the event and the following day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Dunford Hall.

The fair is an annual event that allows alumni, teacher interns and students seeking employment in the field of education and to meet with employers.

According to Career Services, participating organizations meet several hundred student candidates each spring. The candidates have the opportunity to leave resumes with representatives from school districts in Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky and other states.

Business attire is required for the fair and all interviews. No registration is required.

Lunch will be served immediately after the event.
